1. Tré Golfi ORC Offshore World Championship

Date: May 7–14, 2026

The 2026 ORC World Championship will take place from May 5 to 14 in Sorrento, Italy, offering both offshore and inshore races in a stunning Mediterranean setting. The event is organized by Circolo del Remo e della Vela Italia in cooperation with the ORC.
The program includes the historic Regata dei Tre Golfi offshore race, a distinctive and demanding challenge for competitors. This championship is an exceptional opportunity to test your skills in an international fleet, across varied race formats, and to experience the true excitement of sailing among the waves of the Mediterranean Sea.

2. Sardinia cup

Date: May 31 – June 7, 2026

Registration is now open for the official 2026 Sardinia Cup regatta, taking place from May 31 to June 7 in the Porto Cervo area. The event is open to club teams consisting of two boats, and each crew must include at least one female sailor and one sailor under the age of 25, supporting the participation of women and young sailors in offshore racing.
The program features coastal races, an offshore leg of approximately 150 nautical miles, and windward–leeward course races, concluding with the prize-giving ceremony on June 7. This regatta offers an excellent opportunity to take part in high-level international team racing.

3. Rolex Giraglia

Date: June 12–20, 2026

The Loro Piana Giraglia is a legendary multi-day sailing event in the Mediterranean. It begins with inshore races off Saint-Tropez, followed by the iconic offshore leg of approximately 241 nautical miles, rounding the Giraglia Rock before finishing in Genoa.
With its decades-long history and international field, the Giraglia is one of Europe’s most prestigious offshore challenges, offering an outstanding experience for both seasoned sailors and passionate newcomers alike.

4. Palermo-Montecarlo Race - Offshore race

Date: August 18-23, 2026

The Palermo–Montecarlo Offshore Race is a prestigious international offshore sailing race held from August 18 to 23, starting in the Palermo area and ending in Monte Carlo, covering a distance of approximately 500 nautical miles. The race is one of the classic offshore challenges in the Mediterranean, where participants need not only speed but also tactical decisions, endurance, and maritime experience. The varied weather and sea conditions, as well as the long, uninterrupted leg, put both the boat and the crew to the test. The Palermo–Montecarlo Race offers an excellent opportunity for those who want to test their skills in a high-level international field while sailing an iconic route in the heart of the Mediterranean.

5. Barcolana Yacht Race Triest - Inshore race

Date: October 8-11, 2026

The Barcolana Yacht Race – Trieste Inshore is part of the world-famous Barcolana sailing festival, held every October in the Gulf of Trieste. Barcolana is one of the world’s largest sailing races, where amateur and professional sailors compete together in a unique international field. The inshore races offer coastal competitions where fast maneuvers, tactics, and teamwork come to the fore. During the race, Trieste is transformed into a true maritime festival, offering participants not only a sporting experience but also a vibrant social and cultural program. It is the ideal choice for those looking for serious competition and a special atmosphere in an iconic location.

6. Rolex Middle Sea Race

Date: October 16-25, 2026

The Rolex Middle Sea Race was created as the result of sporting rivalry between two British yachtsmen residing in Malta, Alan Green and Jimmy White, and two Maltese sailors, Paul and John Ripard, both members of the Royal Malta Yacht Club. Alan (who would go on to become Secretary of the Royal Ocean Racing Club) and Jimmy originally proposed a racecourse that was longer than typical in the region, and one designed to offer an exciting competition in windier autumn conditions. The initial suggestion was for a course that would start in Malta and finish in Syracuse, Sicily, in one year and then start in Syracuse and finish in Malta, the next.
